“Tsirirao” — beautiful medicine
Tsirirao is now offering seminars and educational opportunities on sustainable ayahuasca as a sacred medicine used in the context of healing among the Shipibo-Konibo. The Mahua lineage is renowned for its experienced onayabo (those who know how to heal), a legacy that spans across time and many generations. We are extremely fortunate to work with several of the elders from this family who grew up in the rainforest learning from plants while developing their profound connection to medicine, spirit, and nature.
The Mahua lineage approach to learning from plants is a continuation of a rare and ancient path to get to know oneself and certain plants while connecting to ancestral wisdom and the healing potential that exists within us all. The Shipibo-Konibo practice of samá or ‘dieta’ is one such method of traditional plant education involving periods of isolation and abstinence of certain foods and energies, while making an intentional connection with the energy, consciousness, or spirit of an ally plant. During Shipibo-Konibo samá, ayahuasca opens the gateway to the realm of the plants that are deeply rooted in the earth and stretch upward to the heavens beyond. Now is a rare time experience, learn, and practice traditional Shipibo-Konibo healing methods with some of the remaining and most knowledgeable elders while connecting with the essence of yourself and plant spirit allies.
We are currently offering two types of seminars including 1) samá for returning long-term students and 2) payanti for participants that are new to Shipibo-Konibo healing traditions. The duration of samá will vary based on each student and their learning goals. For more information on samá dates and availability for returning students, please contact us. For payanti, the 10 day seminar will include transportation, meals, lodging, consulting, plant medicine learning and integration sessions (schedule & details) .
Come learn with us about sustainable ayahuasca production and Shipibo-Konibo healing methods!
Seminars are available for small groups in a safe and intimate setting in the Amazon basin with limited availability.
